Description

Displayed as sanitized plain text from SAM.gov. Retrieved Sep 1, 2026 10:24 PM EDT.

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0001923G0004 with Honeywell International Inc., to support the required engineering and logistical documentation needed to perform an obsolescence study for the Advanced Muli-Purpose Displays (AMPD) use on the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft that have similar configurations. The period of performance anticipated will begin February 2027 and will be 12 months. This procurement is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. Honeywell International Inc., (Honeywell) is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AMPD used on the F/A-18 & EA-18G; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience and technical data required to accomplish this procurement. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Honeywell directly.
