Description
Displayed as sanitized plain text from SAM.gov. Retrieved Aug 29, 2026 5:17 PM EDT.
Description: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a sole-source purchase order using the procedures at FAR 12.102(a), as it has been determined that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement. The Government needs to buy three (3) PCS-400 Radar Simulators to replace three existing PCS-200 Radar Simulator units that are outdated and no longer supported. Buffalo Computer Graphics, Inc. (BCG) stopped selling the PCS-200 in 2017 and stopped repairs and support in 2022. BCG’s current replacement model is the PCS-400, which is designed to work with earlier BCG simulator models. This purchase order is intended to be awarded to Buffalo Computer Graphics, Inc. (BCG) for the procurement, delivery, installation/configuration support, license transfer, and warranty support of three (3) PCS-400 Radar Simulators, including required hardware, software, radar interface cable sets, documentation, and remote changeover support. The requirements document in the form of a Statement of Work is attached to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. Any party who believes they can perform this requirement should submit a capability statement for consideration by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
