This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a project titled Interior Repairs Sallyport 1st and 3rd floors for MDC Brooklyn located at 80 29th Street Brooklyn, NY, 11232, and is prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR Revision Subpart 12.202(b)(1), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes as the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is issued (see attached). You are required to provide all pages of the written attached solicitation with your complete quotation. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BBR026Q00000034 for the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract titled Interior Repairs Sallyport 1st and 3rd floors at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY. MDC Brooklyn is a federal correctional facility located at 80 29th Street Brooklyn, NY 11232. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials, labor and incidentals necessary to remove existing Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) and install a new industrial-grade epoxy flooring system in the first-and third-floor sallyports of the West Building. See the Statement of Work (SOW)attachment. The performance period for the project will be 210 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $100,000 and $250,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238330 with a corresponding small business size standard of $15 million. IMPORTANT: Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above. Each offeror’s SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement. All offerors are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information. This is a 100% small business set-aside. You must be registered in SAM as a small business for the above NAICS code (reference FAR provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your SAM registration). SF 1442 - Please complete: Section 10 & Page 7 SITE VISIT: An organized site visit has been scheduled for Thursday – 8/13/2026 at 11:30am EST with Mr. John Maffeo, at MDC Brooklyn 80 29th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232. Participants are asked to meet inside in the lobby by security. Attendance is mandatory. Please note NCIC forms are required for the visit and must be provided by 8/12/2026 to Jonathan Cogtla at Jcogtla@bop.gov. Failure to provide a NCIC form will result in no entry into the institution. SUBMISSION OF QUOTES: All quotes will be submitted electronically via email to jcogtla@bop.gov no later than August 20, 2026 at 12 pm EST.
