Description

Displayed as sanitized plain text from SAM.gov. Retrieved Aug 15, 2026 8:02 PM EDT.

Industry teammates, the Senior Contracting Official (SCO) for Operational and Enterprise Space Contracting invites you to a pivotal event discussing the future of construction in the U.S. Space Force. We are creating a forum to hear industry concerns and clarify the purpose of these new authorities to move faster, not to limit competition or replace valuable tools like Multiple Award Construction Contracts (MACCs). We have been granted new, flexible authorities for construction contracting, including Other Transaction Authority (OTA) under 10 U.S.C. § 2808a, and we want to partner with you to redefine how we build for the future. Join Us To: Hear directly from the SCO on the commitment to a fair, transparent, and collaborative construction process. Understand the New Authorities - A clear breakdown of what Construction OTAs are (and what they aren't), the 2808a authority, and how these tools fit into the broader acquisition landscape. Teach Us - This is an opportunity for industry to educate the government on commercial construction best practices and innovative methods to go from concept to capability – faster. Event Details: Date: 14 September 2026 Time: 0900-1200 (General Session); 1300-1400 (One on One Sessions) Location: Innovation Hub, 2424 Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO (Will also be presented on Microsoft Teams) Who Should Attend? This event is for members of the construction industry, specifically general contractors, to come together to discuss, the Department of the Air Force (USAF & USSF) contracting processes including the new authorities and how we can work better with industry partners to achieve a more efficient means of awarding projects. Limited to two personnel per company. Registration Form: https://forms.osi.apps.mil/r/w3yV4dh0zp
