USS AMERICA (LHA-6) MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT (MHE) REFURBISHMENT

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, “Acquisition of Commercial Products Commercial Services”, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Request for Quotation is being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. The solicitation number N00244-26-Q-0081 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). RFQ N00244-26-Q-0081 shall be used to reference any written quote provided under this solicitation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2026-01 published in the Federal Register on March 13, 2026. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: https://www.acquisition.gov. This is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside competition requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 811310 with a size standard of $12.5 (millions of dollars). All interested SDVOSB companies shall provide a quotation for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) refurbishment service in accordance with the statement of work (SOW). Period of Performance: 19 August 2026 to 31 January 2027 Place of Performance: Contractor’s facility in San Diego, CA. Maintenance and services will take place in San Diego County at the contractor's facility. Please see attached SOW for further details. Questions on this solicitation shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist via email. The Government will attempt to answer all questions in timely manner and will be made available publicly. However, question(s) submitted near the solicitation closing date may not provide sufficient time for the Government to respond. Therefore, quoters are hereby directed to submit question(s) no later than 11:00 AM (PDT) on 12 AUGUST 2026. QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS REGARDING THIS SOLICITATION HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL. ANSWERS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED IN THE FORM OF AN AMENDMENT TO THIS SOLICITATION. This combined synopsis/solicitation will close at 11:00 AM (PDT) on 17 AUGUST 2026.
