The runway pavement is experiencing progressive distress, including surface cracking, spalling, and pitting. The selected A-E firm will perform specialized testing and deliver a professional engineering evaluation report to identify the root causes of the distress—specifically assessing whether the pavement suffers from cyclic load fatigue, aggregate-cement binder bonding failure, or chemical degradation.
