Description
Displayed as sanitized plain text from SAM.gov. Retrieved Aug 15, 2026 8:02 PM EDT.
THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government desires for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to the sources sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Governmentwide Point of Entry (GPE), sam.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the GPE for additional information pertaining to this requirement. This acquisition is for five (5) Safran SecureSync 2400 Master Clock and Time Synchronization chassis along with all necessary peripheral hardware (outdoor GNSS antennas, mounting kits, lightning surge protectors, grounding kits, low-loss RF cabling, and SFP transceiver modules). The system is a hardware-based Network Time Protocol (NTP) appliance that leverages Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals to distribute highly accurate, synchronized time across local and wide-area networks. Precision Timing Sync: The system must provide microsecond-level time distribution across the IP network using NTP and Precision Time Protocol (PTP / IEEE 1588-2008). Multi-GNSS Constellation Support: Hardware must be capable of tracking multiple satellite systems, including GPS L1, GLONASS L1, Galileo E1, and BeiDou B1, to ensure timing resilience. Internal Oscillator Stability: Must include an Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) to maintain reliable internal timing ("holdover") in the event of active GNSS signal interruption. Physical Interface Integration: Must feature modular card slots, Type-N connector RF compatibility, and fiber optic 1Gb SFP interface compatibility to tie directly into existing WSMR tactical telemetry networks.
