Description

Displayed as sanitized plain text from SAM.gov. Retrieved Aug 28, 2026 5:16 PM EDT.

Due to the increased desire of the T-6 community to avoid swapping out visors during flight, along with the elevated safety risk, the dual-visor was approved for use in the T-6 aircraft. Replacing visors (switching between dark/sun visors and clear visors for night or low-light transitions) while actively piloting an aircraft introduces a significant and unnecessary safety risk—especially during critical phases of flight, low-level navigation, or high-workload environments
