Description

Displayed as sanitized plain text from SAM.gov. Retrieved Sep 12, 2026 10:23 PM EDT.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 123A9426Q0035 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for procurement and install of a small Laboratory Steam Sterilizer/Autoclave. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clarification Question: Q: Is three-phase electrical power available at the sterilizer’s point of use at the Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Center? If so, please provide the available voltage and amperage. The manufacturer needs this information to determine the appropriate sterilizer configuration and prepare an accurate quotation. A: Yes, the Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Center has 208?volt, three?phase electrical service available throughout the building, with amperage varying by location, but a separate steam generator will not be needed since steam is provided by the building. Because of that, the sterilizer is expected to require only standard 120?volt electrical service for operation.
