Description

Displayed as sanitized plain text from SAM.gov. A refresh for the current notice version is pending.

This is a request for information(RFI/Sources Sought (SS) only. This RFI/SS does not constitute an invitation for bids, request for quotations (RFQ) or request for proposals (RFP). The U.S. Government is conducting market research and notification that the U.S. Government is contemplating a contract modification to add up to 24 additional T901 Series (YT Rated Engines) to the current Engineering and Manufacturing Development Contract, W58RGZ-19-C-0003. The contract was awarded to General Electric (GE) Company, CAGE code 99207, in support of the Improved Turbine Engine Program. This modification will be awarded on a non-competitive basis as the services are only available from GE. The U.S. Government intends to utilize the results of this market research to pursue a Limited Source Justification and Approval in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Any resultant Justification and Approval will be made publicly available in accordance with FAR 6.305. The T901 is the next generation 3,000-shaft horsepower (SHP) class turboshaft engine to be utilized in the Black Hawk (H-60) and Apache (AH-64E) helicopter fleets. The T901 engine is the form, fit, replacement for the T700-GE-701D GE series engine. The T901 will fit within the current engine nacelles of the Black Hawk and Apache helicopters, thus requiring no major aircraft modifications. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336412. This Sources Sought is used for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. No contract will be awarded as a result of this request. Information herein is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision, and is not binding on the Government. All information received in response to this Sources Sought that is marked “proprietary” will be handled accordingly and will not be returned. Respondents are responsible for all expenses associated with responding to the Sources Sought. The U.S. Government desires that all software and hardware have, at a minimum, Government Purpose Rights. At this time, the U.S. Government does not possess a complete Technical Data Package for the T901series engine, including system/ subsystem drawings, tooling drawings, software source code or models and simulations. Interested vendor shall provide a capability statement that addresses requirement, recommendations regarding T901-GE-900 turboshaft engine, and responses to requested information (See attachment, Sources Sought Requirements - Description of Information Requested).
