REED COULEE PIPELINE REPAIR The Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Montana State Office is soliciting quotes for excavation services to repair an existing 2-inch water pipeline crossing Reed Coulee. The existing pipeline has become exposed due to erosion and is at risk of failure during future runoff events. The project consists of excavating a new trench across Reed Coulee, exposing the existing pipeline at both tie-in locations, and providing a safe OSHA-compliant excavation for Government personnel. BLM personnel will install approximately 100 linear feet of new 2-inch HDPE water pipeline, complete the required splices, and pressure test the completed installation. Following Government approval, the contractor shall backfill the trench, restore disturbed areas, and reclaim the site. The objective of this acquisition is to permanently relocate the pipeline beneath the coulee while maintaining a minimum of six (6) feet of cover to prevent future exposure from erosion and ensure continued water service.
