Request for Information (RFI): Facilities Carpet Cleaning Services (Building 1521) This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for market research, information, and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Please be advised that this is currently an unfunded requirement. No contract will be awarded from this announcement, and the Government is under no obligation to fund this requirement or pay for any information submitted in response to this notice. The 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing (SCOW) is seeking information from vendors capable of providing professional, all-inclusive carpet cleaning services for Building 1521 at Scott Air Force Base, IL 62225. The scope of work requires the deep cleaning of approximately 30,000 square feet of standard berber carpet squares spanning the first and second floors, which includes all offices, aisle ways, common areas, and desk spaces. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment, labor, and materials to perform the services. Government personnel will handle the relocation of office chairs, meaning the contractor will not be required to move or lift any other office furniture. All work must be performed during normal duty hours, Monday through Friday, from 0700 to 1700, with a specific operational schedule to be coordinated directly with the Facility Manager. Because services will be conducted on a secure military installation, all contractor personnel will require installation access, must undergo background checks, and must be escorted while working within controlled areas. A full Statement of Work (SOW) is attached to this posting for reference. Specific FAR clauses are referenced within the attached documentation and are not included in full text here. This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB). Funding has not yet been secured for this effort.
