The Norman A. Berg Plant Materials Center facilities need repairs and upgrades. The center requires a newelectrical hookup for a lab trailer and electrical upgrades for the two greenhouses (indicated as North Greenhouse and South Greenhouse) and the upper garage. Both greenhouses require foundational repairs and re-parging. One greenhouse requires a commercial grade greenhouse door replacement. SITE VISIT: Interested vendors can review the work site by attending the Site Visit on August 25, 2026, at 10:00am. Site Visit Location: 8791 Beaver Dam Road, Beltsville MD 20705 Site Visit POC: Dan Dusty; Farm Manager at dan.dusty@usda.gov, 301-289-9776. Responses are due by 2:00 p.m. ET on September 16, 2026 by email to Bobby Copenny, II, Contract Specialist, at bobby.copenny@usda.gov. This is a request for quote (RFQ) solicited using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13. Contractors are strongly urged to attend the site showing. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision required to construct the project at outlined in statement of work and detailed in the specifications, drawings, and plans attached hereto. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The applicable NAICS code is 238990.
