Presolicitation Notice for Radiation Safety Officer Services Overview This document serves as a presolicitation notice only. It is important to note that no contract will be awarded based on this presolicitation notice. Contracting Office Information Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to issue a solicitation for personal service support, specifically for Radiation Safety Officer services. Solicitation Details The Request for Quotation will be released as a set-aside opportunity exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The expected base period of performance will begin on the date of award and continue through September 14, 2027. The Government plans to award a Firm Fixed Price contract as a result of this solicitation, which will be made available electronically through SAM.gov, the official U.S. Government system for contract opportunities. The anticipated solicitation date is on or about August 18, 2026. Registration Requirements Contractors shall have an active Federal Government contracts registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) when submitting an offer or quotation in response to this solicitation and at the time of award. As part of the SAM registration process, the Government collects information, as described in paragraphs (b) through (d) of FAR provision 52.204-7, that is necessary to identify the Offeror and for the Offeror to be awarded Federal Government contracts. To register in SAM, go to https://www.sam.gov. Allow for processing time when registering in SAM. If the Offeror is not registered in SAM, it should register immediately after receiving this solicitation. Small Business Administration Standards The Small Business Administration size standard for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541690 Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services is $19.0 million.
